Cocoon in the Mini Criss-Cross. Inspired by traditional garments like the kimono and caftan, this piece is made wrapped and twisted geometric shapes to maximize and showcase both sides of the fabric and create a play of stripes . Selvedge edges of the fabric work as a fringed trim. 2 pockets are built into the coat for optimal slouching. The back is pleated to reinforce the cocoon shape.

One size fits most people between sizes 0-12. Model is 5'10" and a size 2.

This jacket is made of a custom merino wool & cotton textile designed and woven in Chicago by The Weaving Mill, based on drawings by artist Nuria Montiel. After coming off the loom, the fabric is  felted slightly to create a textural play between the merino wool and the more stable cotton. The result is a soft, warm, and breathable cloth, reminiscent of a lightweight blanket.

Each piece comes with a matching pin made of our custom textiles, to decorate and arrange the jacket to your liking.

All pieces are cut and sewn in our Logan Square workshop using a slow fashion model of manufacture and can be customized to your measures and preferences.

Made in-house in the USA
