Cape Coat
Made of deadstock Japanese denim, this jacket can be worn a multitude of ways: with the lapels folded back to showcase the reverse side of the fabric, or unfolded to review the circular geometry of the silhouette. Remove the belt (made from raw edges of denim) and the piece is more of a cape; keep the belt in and it becomes a swing coat. We finished this wrap with the selvedge edges of the textile to create textural interest. Contrast welts create openings for the arms. Working with vintage deadstock fabric allows us to produce limited edition runs, reduce waste, and to repurpose high-quality materials.
